We had a great time last night watching the fireworks. If you walk to the top of the hill you can see both of the 'big' shows over Elliot Bay and Lake Union. There is bit in the distance so you don't really get the awe factor but there still cool to watch. The private parties up and down the valley make up the other half of the show.
Last night we took some sleeping bags and a bunch of pillows and blankets up the hill and made a great big bed. Lorrie and Blake, and Lolli, Jay and I laid out with the dogs and just watched the show all around us. It was cool to be all snuggled up like one big family.
Lorrie started out 'just chopping up some fruit' which turned into a full on, eggs & bacon breakfast.
Fridays pieces came out of the kiln early this morning. I'm liking the way my bowl turned out. There's yesterdays load firing now and more pieces being done this morning. It's a great way to keep the an 11 year old boy off the Nintendo.
Lolli's cup and saucer.
Finally the tooth pain has slackened to a dull ache. The infection must have been knocked down. I'm glad to be off the stomach turning pain meds. It's funny to be looking forward to a root canal.

Great ceramics! I love to do them, but haven't in years! Maybe I should find someone who has a kiln and start again. I did mostly stains tho when I did it.
