Very good guess fiwa , I picked it because it looks exactly like the "back yard" but it's not my photo.
We live on a city greenbelt that comes up and meets our property about 20' out the back door.
The house we own once belonged to my partners cousin. They we're reunited at a (one of my) office parties about 5 years ago (small town, Seattle is) - They hadn't seen each other since childhood. We quickly became friends and the first time I was invited here told cousin, "If you ever want to sell this house, I'll buy it."
Five years latter he did. We'd just completed the remodel of our first house in downtown Seattle.
Every. Freaking. Room. And the Exterior. Done.
And we sold it.
The "old" house (built in 1908) was sold so we could buy the "new" house (built in 1918) - What we got was a very old abused house (cousin had bought it from the state as it had been seized in a pot growing operation) and very little had been done to restore it.
It took us 6 years to redo the old house inside and out. I'll spare you the stories.
We've been here 3 years and at least the first floor rooms have been re-done. The upstairs still too go.
We bought it for the views and wonderful placement. Out back and down the hill is 40 acres of city owned greenbelt - at the bottom is a park called Kuboto Gardens. Mr. Kuboto owned a nursery at the bottom of the hill in the 1930's and 40's. He transformed his property into a wonderful Japanese garden to showcase what could be. The Kuboto's were interred for being Japanese in WWII and sent to a concentration camp. They're property was eventually confiscated and after a time purchased by the city of Seattle and made a city park- The ponds and bridges he constructed still there. Still wonderful. It's very much in tact, even the house is still there - A great place to spend a afternoon/picnic.
Our house is on the top of a hill in south Seattle - a view of the Olympic Mountains from the front, the woods and creek in the back and no neighbors. None.
And we're 10 minutes to downtown via I-5.
The downside ?
It takes 2 hours to mow the lawn on a riding mower and it's 800' to get to the freaking mailbox - but I ain't bitching. Plenty of open feild for the dog to run and our 20 chickens to coop. That's why we named it 'Bear's Farm'
fiwa ? need some eggs ?

So you're a glutton for punishment, huh? I bet it's gorgeous though. And the greenbelt sounds beautiful. Pictures?
What DO you do with that many eggs? Do you sell them?
your place sounds like heaven.
am in major envy of your chickens.
happy thanksgiving.
