It's been a busy couple of days. I finally heard from Mom’s husband tonight that He’s going down to Salem to get Mom (she went down on Tuesday – must have taken the train-I didn’t think to ask) on Saturday. Apparently they’re holding the service off until the weekend of Memorial Day. I’ll keep my grumbles to myself.
On the home front Jay’s finally convinced me to swap the formal dining room, that we’ve used two or three time since we moved in here with the computer & desk that was in the office/dressing room. He was right. Instead of being isolated upstairs I’m typing to you now just off the entry with a larger window and better view. My poor dining room furniture is languishing in the basement. It’s good – I’m happier actually living in the room as opposed to walking by it as a set and never using it.
My brain is full & tired and needing a break. Many phone calls from/to cousins as our generation was trying to figure out what was going on with our parents generation at the moment.
The weather is about to turn wonderful here. 80+ for the weekend. That should make the phones at work ring when folks notice their a/c isn’t working. Happens every year.
I’m brain dead and this is the best I can do as a post – plus I still wanna go check on you all and see what you’ve been up too since Monday.
I’ve traded emails with fiwa and all seems well on her weeks adventure – She was off to Jamaica today at about 8:15 west coast time – she sounded good.
Thank you for all the kind thoughts. It does mean a lot to me.
Drama blog again–sorry kids.

So glad to see you on here...now, do we get pictures of the decorating change? I love being completely snoopy and seeing inside other people's homes.
It has got to be tough to handle all the arrangements and this is certainly a trying time. Hang in there, you've a huge heart and I'm thinking of you!!!!!
I'll be IM all day tomorrow if you get a chance
just came by to check on ya-- good to see you are back to peek in on us too.
i hope you are doin alright.
sounds like you're keepin busy--sometimes, that's the best thing to do.
take care brad..
Jamaica??? Duuuuuuuuuude...
We were in the 40s this weekend while being DUMPED on with 10 inches of rain in 4 days. 6 of that in 24 hours. That is just Not Right when it is not Hurricane Season...and the temps just about killed Mama Llama--my fur was just starting to thin out for summer, for goodness sake.
I like the sound of your new house arrangement. There is nothing like figuring out new ways to bring old and seemingly useless pieces back to life. Good for you.
Be well, Brad.
Drama shmama... this is a real blog with real life happenings. Nothing dramatic about it.
Although I hear your lament for your nice furniture, I've never understood the necessity of a formal dining room if it isn't used daily. Life (and rooms) are for living.
I don't understand about the service being held off... that's an awful long time to wait....
You're in my prayers always...
No "sorrys" Bradley.
Love you.
Did you at least get your good weather to lift your spirits? A drama-less few days?
It's definitely much better to have your computer close to where you hang out. We had ours in the living room for a long time, till I got my laptop. Em's is upstairs, but mine is everywhere I'm at.
My living room gets used for parties and that's it. I think they make them pretty small these days cause no one uses them.
It's Friday. Anything good happening with you this weekend?
Not drama, just updates, and that's okay!! Nothing to worry about with drama..
brain dead is natural I'm sure.
I hope that you have some down time this weekend!!
Happy Friday Sir Bradley. :)
Always,
Elizabeth
I'm glad you reported on Fiwa. I wish I was going with her to Jamaica. I'm job stressed and need a break!
Sounds like your weekend will be awesome! Get out and enjoy it.
:)
Silly, why would you apologize for giving an update? That's why people come by to read, they love you & want to know what's going on.
So next week is going to be crazy, huh? Not such good timing - I'm sorry about that. It is beautiful outside though.
