As bad as it made me feel Lolli made arrangements and had a shelter come pick her up this morning. I'm pretty sure she's a Jack Russel mix. She scared the hell out of the goats and wouldn't leave their pen anytime she was outside. Miss Lilly finally just came home a half hour ago. She was in heat. She howled. Alot.
Lolli & Jay still think she's someones pet because she is a smart little soul and shows some training. but I just can't imagine how she would get to where I found her if she just wandered off from home. I'm mentally listing all my friends and trying to think of a good match. No luck so far. Don't worry Seattle bloggers. I know you'd offer up if you could. I won't put the squeeze on ya.
Jay's sister called a few minutes ago. She's on her way to Sea-Tac airport to pick up her husband tonight and is stopping by for a visit. We haven't seen our niece and nephew for months so this is a treat. Lolli's delayed dinner so we can feed them too. They live near Olympia which is an embarrassing hour away. Bad Uncles.
I've been trying to pull permits from the city for a job Jay's got coming up both Friday and today. The Department of Planning has a thousand rules interpreted differently by every employee. Annoying to say the least. Jay came into the office this afternoon and looked through 10 permits I got today and found a issue with one. Oh Joy. Brad will be back in the city in the morning.
Damn.

We Can't Keep Her

Well, it was fun to daydream. Of course, you know your situation best and it sounds like she might have been a little too much for your goats to handle. It was great of you to give her a little respite and get her to safety. A good deed, indeed!
She sounds like one of those dogs who needs to be the only pet in the family, otherwise she's gonna run the rest of them ragged. If she was in heat that was probably why she was roaming, it's instinct.
Have fun with the kiddies! How nice of Lolli to make dinner. :)
Good luck with the permits tomorrow.
lovins!

Double damn. Government offices and insurance companies. My least favorite places to call or visit.
all you had to say was 'jack russell'.
hopefully, her owners will find her. i hope the shelter spays her asap.
you were a good soul to pick her up.
Oh too bad you couldn't keep her, but you just can't keep every stray. Hopefully there is a nice home out there just waiting for her. :-)
i'm a sucker when it comes to animals too-- take em home and can't do a thing with em.. sure can't keep em.. we have FOUR. i just can't help myself.
i hope you find a home for puppy. :{
happy tuesday!
ps-- you were right when you said these a/c guys would have issues come up with their cheaper estimate-- grrrrr.
i bet they don't even show up today at all. :((
I like what FIWA said..it sounds right..perhaps she's an ALPHA DOg and will find her fit!!
Have fun with your fam...what did Lolli prep for dinner?
Well, I'm off to work on damage control, my little one just whipped something past my ear, and it hurts, so unless I want my "area" turned into a dodgeball arena, I best move along. :)
Always,
Elizabeth
You got to show that dog some loving for a while and I'm sure it was appreciated. I'm sure she'll find her home or at least a loving one.
Well, as sweet as she is and smart like you said, I'm sure she'll have a home really quick.
You are a dear one!
I feel for you having to deal with the government. Permits. ugh.
Hugs!
Fiwa's comment was interesting. So you think the pup's a streetwalker? I can just see her now in high heels getting guys like you to roll down the car windows. Babe, you're a pushover.
