The Show

It was an amazing night. These people really know their stuff. The night starts out in a large lobby that resembles an Arabian Sheik's tent. Your grouped with all the other attendees in what amounts to a large cocktail hour before dinner. There are many racks of relatively inexpensive do-dads - men's top hat & fedoras. Women's tiaras and boas. Over the top paste jewelry. Capes, Coats & dresses - all wild in color and design - Think Circ De Sole

we got to meet several people and chatted while draining cocktails. At about 6:30 the lead you into a larger tent structure and the show begins.

We were seated at a table for nine and told a party of three would be joining us. They turned out to be a mother (my age) and her two daughters celebrating the youngest daughters birthday. They were fun even if they kinda didn't 'get' the two gay guys w/ the hot mama.

The first course was on the table when we we're seated. soft cheese w/ tampanade served with a large wafer this cracker. Thelma Houston sang the opening number and rocked the house.

After the first couple of numbers were done the food service commencted with second course of salad. We'd opted to go with the chef's recommended pairings of wines, five wines with five courses and it was the right decision. The wines were match perfectly to the food. It was a choice of steak or cod for the main entree - Partner & I had steak (great) Lolli had the fish (not so much) By the third course (and third glass of wine and second Black Opal Partner pushed on us... yeah I can't really remember.

They played a good semi-slow dance song and the Mom of our table partners and I cut the rug while Partner squired Lolli and the daughters danced with each other. We all flirted with the actresses/actors of our choice then returned to our seats.

I can't recommend this enough. If you have the opportunity GO! - it was/is great.

The show and food was fab. I wrote most of this post Friday night after we got home. we since had a party here at the farm and had Lolli's ex Roger brought they're kids up from Tacoma. and her oldest daughter K and her to babes over for the night on Sat. Kellis about 23 and the babes are Elora who's 4 and C aleb her grandson who's 18 months-ish. I'm dead tired here so these facts may be muddled but you get the idea. In addition to that crew my other girlfriend from highschool Lorrie

Like I said. I'm dead on my feet and have a date with a couch. I just wanted to get most of this out here before it became clouded in my head. Partner went down to Lacey today to take care of his folks house while they're out of town. I just drove Kelli & the babes to the Tacoma train station for them to get home to Vancouver (WA) and dad.

Drop Lolli off at her ex's house so she can nurse her sick youngest Rachel (Hey Baby feel bettter soon) It was a strugggle to keep my eyes open all the way home.

Date with couch starts now.

Sorry. Too tired to edit.

Isn't it weird how we never seem to have just medium size energy? We're either zooming through the roof from too much caffeine, or crawling to the door in need of more. On that note, yawn yawn. Kiss bear g'nite. And Partner. And Lolli. And you. Is that everybody?

Isn't Bon the sweetest? What a wonderful night out. So much fun that you need a rest from it. Tomorrow the work starts again. I hope it's a smooth Monday for you. I'll be with the Ma, being the good daughter. As opposed to the bad Ma with my own! Geez...I need a vacation!

Sounds like a great time. I'd be needing time to recover too. I'm not very good in social outings though, so goodness only knows what kind of trouble I would get into at a thing like that. haha

Enjoy your rest and have a good Monday. And yes, green tea for me!

Hugs!

What an awesome time you had--and being that tired from too much fun is just about as good as being that tired from a long night of adult activity. TOTALLY WORTH IT. At our age, we can't say that too often, can we?

Have a good Monday, hope you are all rested up.

:)

That sounds like the perfect weekend - I love it! Sometimes it's good to be tired from so much fun. :)

Oh my god... this is so weird, I just heard one of my coworkers down the hall say he went to Teatro Zinzanni on Friday! How weird is that?!

I just checked out the website for the show you went to. That looks like a wild, fun night at the theater! No wonder you're exhausted!
