Super Tuesday

I can't watch anymore or my head's going to implode - Thank God this will be over tomorrow.

My early posts on this blog often had a robust, politically liberal leaning. I can be overbearing when I think I know what's right. And my right is almost always left.
I can get very worked up about issues.

I've decided to shut up and calm down. Expending energy ranting and raving is pointless. When I read those posts now I find them shrill and sometimes bombastic. They make me cringe. I didn't make a set decision to stop, but in the past few weeks I found I had. The passing of my good friend Dede was a good kick-in-the-pants.

Remember what's important.

I'm enjoying writing posts that share me with you and maybe make someone smile. I'm learning from all of you. All of you over there on the right , there on the blog-roll.

What I have found here on my blog, is a whole host of friends who can make me laugh and make me cry, make me wonder and help me learn and point me in new directions.

Very loving people, and a network of folks who really are genuine, warm friends. I'm glad I found you all.

Too funny to not mention:

Partner hired a new employee today. A young pup he'd interviewed on Friday. A recommendation from one of our employees. Said employee called while I was writing this to tell us that the new employee wouldn't be able to meet up with Partner in the morning as planned, as he's been arrested and will most likely be in jail till next Monday.

Great.

Bradley Dear - You are correct - nothing like a life altering event to show you what's really important and what is really worth making a big deal over. (I've heard old age will do it to you, too, but I'm still waiting for you to catch up with me so I'm not there yet.) :-) And as Dan Seals says, "If I had only one friend left, I'd want it to be you."
XO
I love you,
LSL :-)

I love coming over. It feels like I'm really spending time with you. You had me from the start!

If nothing else, the new employee was good for a story!

I think you should still hire that guy!!!!!! Prison time just adds character. With love from the Nation Founded By Convicts.

MIss Purdue, I have the sick feeling Partner just might do that.

At least he won't be one of my boys to mind.

Brad - thank you so much for visiting my page and the kind comment.

I had to laugh at the last lines of your post, good lord - I thought I was the only person that managed to hire employees like that.

Have a really good day today.
